Muzhda got her BA in English language and literature from Kabul university in Afghanistan and then pursued her Master’s degree in educational leadership and management in her country. Due to her passion in teaching English, she pursued another master degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at Ball State University in Indiana through Fulbright scholarship. She has also attended many educational conferences in UC Davis, and San Diego State University. She has received short trainings in education, project management and teaching training skills in Bangladish, Pakistan and the United States.
Muzhda is passionate about working in education and help those who need to get education. She has worked as English educator with different age groups such as kids, teenagers and adults in her home country for many years. She has also worked as a researcher with educational projects on different subject issues such as barriers towards girls’ education in different provinces of Afghanistan. She has volunteered as substitute English instructor at Kabul University and also has been involved to empower Afghan girls who wanted to get scholarship to study in English speaking countries.
Currently, she lives in Chicago and works with an immigrants’ resettlement agency in Chicago, helping immigrants with translation/interpretation and teaching as ESL instructor. She aims to continue working in education, and helping kids/students to receive quality education. She is eager to help immigrants in the United States and get involved in community activities.
